Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- In depth knowledge of control systems and/or control systems, preferably in automotive assembly plants
- Thorough knowledge of Rockwell PLC software, Siemens HMI software as well as interfaces to other controls systems
- Indepth understanding of GM controls standards including Hardware & Software
- Indepth knowledge on Eplan software
- Responsible for training, evaluating & certifying GM engineers, contractors and suppliers on GM standards.
- Work with learning team to update training content and material based on change in standards
- Coordination with global stakeholders and learning teams to set up training schedule and classes based on requirement
- Occasional travel to GM assembly & propulsion plants to gain hands-on experience with GM standards and processes
Additional Job Description
Knowledge:
- In depth knowledge of control systems and/or control systems in automotive assembly plants
- Knowledge on PLC, HMI, Drives, Networks along with strong programming skills preferably Rockwell PLC.
- Thorough knowledge of Rockwell PLC software, Siemens HMI software as well as interfaces to other controls systems
- Knowledge of Machine Vision hardwares/softwares
- Thorough knowledge of PLC hardware and software design and engineering
- Should be well versed in reading Electrical/mechanical drawings, layout.
- Acquaintance with Eplan for hardware design and experience on Siemens HMI will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of interface to upper level system is an advantage
- Knowledge on equipment selection, cost estimation, material procurement is an advantage
- Knowledge on Automobile manufacturing processes is an advantage

Abilities:
- Ability to work with intercultural, multi-disciplinary & remote teams to achieve functional goals.

Educational Qualifications:
- Masters/Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical. Engineering/ Electronics Engineering / Instrumentation Engineering.
Experience:
- 8-15 years experience in any Automotive companies or Software Companies with Automation background
- Experience in conducting technical trainings is an advantage
