Opportunity

Joining Maersk Air Cargo as a Flight Support Officer offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our flight operations.

 You will have the chance to work closely with the Flight Operations Manager and contribute to projects that drive improvements in processes and technologies within the department.

This role provides the opportunity to make a significant impact on the overall performance of the company's flight operations.

Responsibilities

 As a Flight Support Officer at Maersk Air Cargo, your main responsibilities will include

  • Maintaining the navigation database, conducting route study analysis

  • Preparing aerodrome assessments and briefing materials, assisting with the testing and maintenance of performance tools, and continuously seeking opportunities for optimization and improvement within the department.

  • You will also be responsible for ensuring that Flight Support procedures are in place, financial and operational objectives are met, and regular reports and departmental meetings are conducted.

What are we looking for:

  • We are seeking a candidate with an operational background as a Flight Support Officer, pilot, or similar role

  • Experience in Flight Operations Dispatch being advantageous.

  • The ideal candidate will have strong IT skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and a proactive and detail-oriented approach to their work.

  • Knowledge of aircraft performance and flight planning is essential, as well as familiarity with air traffic management, aviation regulations, and meteorology. Experience with airport slots is preferred.

Key Competencies:

  • The successful candidate will be results-focused, commercially aware, and able to make effective decisions in high-pressure situations.

  • They will possess strong analytical skills and the ability to work quickly and accurately without supervision. A resilient approach to challenges and the ability to contribute to the development of Flight Support and the Flight Operations department are also key competencies for this role.
