Job Description

As the Technology Lead you will be joining the broader General Motors Australia & New Zealand (GM ANZ) team. You will have the ability to gain experience, marketability and exposure to a diverse, fast-paced environment within our global corporation and exciting local ambitions, which you'll be able to leverage to progress your career. 

The GM ANZ Technology Lead is responsible for supporting the execution of information technology deliverables relating to deployment, sustainment and scaling activities enabling the direct-to-consumer (D2C) retail and service of Cadillac vehicles in Australia & New Zealand. The role will also support IT system sustainment and migration project activities as defined by regional leadership. 

You will be joining us at a time of very exciting growth, as we establish the Cadillac brand and all-electric luxury portfolio. This position requires you to have strong project management methodologies, a general knowledge of automotive retail and service and sound understanding of digital process flows. 

Your responsibilities include: 

Cadillac D2C Digital Retail Platform

  • Lead the development, deployment, sustainment, and scaling of Cadillac ANZ’s digital experiences in partnership with 3rd party partners. This includes:

    • Scaling of Cadillac’s global configurator and account experience in partnership with ANZ functional teams and local market-specific regulatory and experience requirements. 

    • Continuously monitoring features and identifying future enhancements.

    • Partnering with multiple different stakeholders, this includes: Cadillac Marketing to enable seamless CRM integration. Local Cadillac and global GM teams to achieve seamless hand off between digital environments and with legal teams on Privacy and Consent requirements.

  • Support collaboration with other GM regions on UX and brand to achieve standardised experiences where regulations and customer journey objectives align between markets.

  • Support the development, deployment, and sustainment of Cadillac ANZ’s back-end systems in partnership with 3rd party partners.

  • Contribute to regular status report outs with local and regional GM teams.

  • Foster cross functional partnership (aftersales, marketing, warehousing, etc.) as well as working relationships with 3rd parties.

Cadillac Aftersales Platform & Facility Technology

  • Support and execution of the development, implementation, and sustainment of: 

    • Cadillac ANZ’s online aftersales experiences, 

    • Technology relating to Cadillac ANZ's service lane platform,

    • Technology relating to Cadillac ANZ's service partner integration as required and deemed feasible. 

  • Collaborate with GM regional stakeholders, and GM ANZ’s aftersales stakeholders to execute in-facility digital services for delivery of service lane and warranty requirements, including audio visual, network and security infrastructure.

Cadillac Retail & Activation Technology

  • Collaboration with GM global experts to oversee the strategy and deployment of in-store digital experiences and technology.

  • Act as local point of contact for Cadillac ANZ Retail Network and 3rd party suppliers in relation to Cadillac ANZ’s store experience fit out.

  • Support pop-up activation technology strategy and deployment as required in partnership with Cadillac Marketing and appointed agencies.

  • Support synergies with GM global in-store technology, part taking in lessons learnt and best practice forums with other regions.

Business Admin, Partnership & Future Strategy 

  • Act as key point of contact for 3rd party technology suppliers, including management of transactional administration and invoicing.

  • Support deliverables as defined by leadership in Finance on capital expenditure and operational spend forecasts during project rollout and invoicing activities (project tracking).

  • Take a local support and execution role in testing and escalation for all digital solutions deployed for Cadillac ANZ.

  • Take a local support role in consolidating lessons learnt from retail and service facility roll out with view to scale. Support strategy development for network expansion, particularly from a customer experience technology perspective.

  • Support related IT system projects as defined by CX / IT teams.

About You 

You're experienced in managing projects within a regional and global environment and have had similar operational project-based IT roles in the past. You show a passion for the automotive industry, particularly in the luxury space and have strong initiative, teamwork and communication skills.

  • has excellent relationship management skills - the ability to foster and sustain effective relationships with many different stakeholders internally and externally. 

  • has strong influencing skills - the ability to appropriately and respectively persuade and influence others to consider and adopt digital solutions.

  • has strong project management, planning and report our skills - the ability to develop accurate scoping documents, work plans and tracking documents within the context of complex cross functional programs. 

  • Has an aptitude for taking a forward looking/innovate now perspective on digital solutions.
