The Opportunity

Firefly is the new family of creative generative AI models in Adobe products, focusing initially on image and text effect generation. Firefly offers new ways to conceptualize, create, and communicate while significantly improving creative workflows. Firefly is the natural extension of the technology Adobe has produced over the past 40 years, driven by the belief that people should be empowered to bring their ideas into the world exactly as they envision them.

The Adobe Corporate Partnerships team is passionate about delivering material growth and market share expansion through strategic product and technology partnerships with responsibility for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and implementing partnership deals for Firefly. As a Principal in the Corporate Partnerships team, you will work closely with cross-functional team members and executive leadership to drive successful partner deals with the largest strategic players in the ecosystem to advance Firefly’s objectives.

What you'll Do

  • Gain deep knowledge about Firefly and the GenAI ecosystem, including business model, customer segmentation, customer workflows, product offerings, competitors, marketing and GTM.
  • Act as a highly effective business development and strategy resource to the applicable Adobe business unit who builds strategic partnership frameworks that achieve key business objectives.
  • Identify, scope out, and drive engagements with strategic partners that have potential to meet Firefly objectives.
  • Drive consensus and approval from business unit collaborators and executive leadership to formally engage in deal negotiation with applicable strategic partners, including business terms for such deals.
  • Negotiate strategic partnerships with third parties from inception to final contract signature.

What you need to succeed

  • 15+ years of experience in business development or strategic partnerships crafting custom, first-of-its kind deals
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of independence to identify and evaluate new business opportunities, build partnership strategy, assess market opportunity / competitive landscape, and develop financial / business models
  • Proven track record of building positive relationship and driving consensus internally across product, marketing, legal, finance, sales and more; proficiency driving alignment across complex business decisions with executive leadership
  • Experience with negotiating complex legal agreements with large, strategic partners
  • Ability to act as a creative, strategic problem solver, incessantly seeking opportunities to materially impact the business.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $137,300 -- $252,600 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
