Job Description:

  • Senior Mental Health Clinician - Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN4)
  • Permanent full-time position (Part-time will be considered)
  • Friendly & supportive team

About the Role

Centrally located and close to multiple public transport routes. A great opportunity to increase your skills in a senior capacity. You will provide a high standard of clinical assessment, treatment and support to clients of the St. Vincent’s integrated adult MHS and their families-carers-supporters, demonstrating excellence in discipline specific and recovery-focused case management skills.

You will join a dynamic community mental health team operating under a recovery-oriented model of care, utilising the Strengths Model of Case Management.

  • Work within the Strengths Model of recovery orientated practice providing supervision and leadership to staff
  • Work one to one and build a therapeutic alliance with the consumer and family/carers/supporters actively engaging them in the planning, delivery and evaluation of their care
  • Undertake the assessment, provision of treatment and delivery of targeted interventions to consumers with complex mental health related needs and their family/carers

The classification for this position will be RPN Grade 4 NP75 - NP77 ($110,801- $119,324 per annum)

Your Contribution

  • Current registration with AHPRA (if applicable)
  • A minimum of 5 years post qualification clinical experience within Mental Health Services
  • Extensive experience in the provision of assessment, discipline specific intervention and case management services for consumers experiencing early psychosis, as well as providing appropriate support for their carers and families within a recovery framework
  • Experience in providing clinical supervision to other mental health staff
  • A comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of the Mental Health & Wellbeing Act 2022 (including amendments) and other relevant legislation
  • Current Victorian driver’s license
  • Current National Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain

About the Clarendon Clinic Team

The Clarendon Clinic Continuing Care Teams provide ongoing specialist treatment and support to meet the identified needs of clients who suffer with a serious mental illness and associated high level of disability in the City of Yarra. The multidisciplinary team provides a range of clinical and therapeutic interventions using the recovery-focused Strengths Model of Recovery-Oriented Practice.
