About the Role
You will provide advice and technical support for health and safety issues, specifically for clinical manual handling (MoveSmart), across the varied work areas at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne.
You will ensure that health and safety risks are mitigated through robust, effective systems and processes.
- Assist to develop, implement and review the MoveSmart training program
- Provide assistance to clinical areas to problem solve patient manual handling
- Review incidents and hazard reports, assist with investigations and controls
- Use data and evidence-based systems to identify trends across the organisation.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Classifications for this position are listed below:
ZF4 classification ($107,962 per annum, pro-rata for part-time)
VG3 classification ($102.091 per annum, pro-rata for part-time)
Your Contribution
- Health professional with current AHPRA registration
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to undertake a theoretical and practical training program
- Ability and flexibility to work and communicate with varied teams
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and exposure to data programs
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About Health Safety and Wellbeing Department
We are dedicated to ensuring that the organisation adheres to health, safety, and workcover legislation. In collaboration with the organisation, we implement a best practice health and safety management system throughout all SVHM workplaces. The team is multidisciplinary, covering work health and safety (WHS), patient manual handling, aggression prevention, wellbeing, injury management, emergency management, and respiratory protection.
