Who We Are

The Validation Hardware Team is responsible for the design of novel and proprietary electronic equipment. This equipment is used to optimize/characterize/validate state of the art Integrated Circuits (IC's) and products. The Validation Hardware Team is a small team with a wide breadth of experience and skills spanning the utilization, design and/or validation of:

  • Firmware (RTOS, Drivers, PID Controllers, Linux)

  • Software (Python/MATLAB APIs, Optimization)

  • Board level Analog Circuitry (ADCs, Amplifiers, Signal Conditioning, Power Supplies, Radiated and Conducted Noise Injection, etc.)

  • Board level Digital Circuitry (FPGAs, MCUs, DRAM, PCIe, Ethernet, etc.)

  • Mechanicals (Fixtures, Thermal)

  • Thermal Management (Temperature Control, Heatsinks, System Analysis, Simulation)

As a member of our team, you will work alongside experienced engineers to solve new and interesting problems, making an important contribution to our exciting novel and proprietary equipment.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering

  • Strong circuit fundamentals: MOSFETs, BJTs, ADCs, DACs, Passives

  • Lab Equipment: Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, DMMS

  • Experience with schematic capture and layout

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using digital communication protocols: SPI, I2C, UART

  • 3D Modelling Experience with SolidWorks or similar software

  • Experience with LTspice

  • Solid signal integrity and power integrity knowledge

  • Languages: C, C++, Python, MATLAB

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in Canada

CAD 42,000.00-CAD 76,000.00

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
