About the Opportunity:

St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba is the largest acute private hospital on the Darling Downs. We are a 189-bed facility with highly experienced and skilled staff that work as a team to deliver the highest standard of healthcare to all our patients. Our services include medical, surgical, maternity, paediatric, emergency, cardiac and rehabilitation. We are supported by comprehensive allied health services and advanced medical and diagnostic services. Pathology, radiology and pharmacy are also available on site, and our emergency department is open 24 hours, seven days a week.

This rewarding opportunity will see you join St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba (SVPHT) as a Sterilising Technician/Assistant or Enrolled Nurse in our Central Sterilising Service Department (CSSD). This is a part time position will be pivotal in the cleaning and sterilisation of instruments.

Things that work for us:

• Current AHPRA Registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Enrolled Nurses Only)

• Must hold a Cert III in Sterilising Technology or equivalent to be considered for a Sterilising Technician role

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a CSSD or healthcare facility preferred

• Ability to work flexible hours and weekend on call work

• Ability to maintain a working knowledge of relevant policies/procedures and use these in work practices.

• Demonstrated application of contemporary infection control standards and practices.
