We have a fantastic opportunity for a Java Developer to join our Identity Management Services team based in Bucharest. Identity Management Services (IMS) is Adobe's implementation of OAuth 2.0 and Federated ID. We manage the authentication and authorization system for users across all of Adobe’s products and services. As such, security, availability and performance are paramount. If you are passionate about high scalability, elastic infrastructure, zero downtime, millions of RPM, multi-region designs and squeezing milliseconds from the response times you are the right candidate for us. You will contribute to new features while making sure that we keep our 99.999% uptime SLA. 

What you will do:

• Design & implement new features and performance improvements, while keeping a strong customer focus and high-quality standards  
• Be part of an agile, highly collaborative and passionate team, owning multiple features of the service
• Work closely with experience designers, product managers and security partners to ensure your work meets customer expectations and adheres to high usability, reliability and security standards  
• Perform research on various technologies and define architectural improvements, build prototypes or core features, as needed  
• Evaluate the current architecture, determine risks and opportunities, and come up with proposals for mitigations and improvements
• Understand the product domain, the customer base and drive the growth of the ecosystem built on PaaS concepts

What you need to succeed:

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
• Object oriented design principles and design patterns, algorithmic and logical skills
• Deep knowledge of Java stack and frameworks
• Solid knowledge of Systems Scalability, Availability & Performance
• Solid foundation in software engineering process & best practices: unit testing, build automation, continuous integration
• Enjoys technical challenges and is capable of proposing and evaluating a solution against requirements, and demonstrates a strong customer focus

Bonus Points:

• Newer frameworks and paradigms such as Spring Boot, Vert.x/Project Reactor/Reactive Java are nice to have
• Newer programming languages such as Kotlin are also nice to have
• Knowledge of modern Observability and Monitoring
