About the role:
Several vacancies exist in the above unit for a highly motivated Registered Nurse with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high-quality patient centred care. Xavier 7 South is currently a 32-bed mixed medical ward. At present, Xavier 7 South has a diverse mix of specialties which primarily include Gastroenterology, Renal, Nephrology, Immunology, Infectious diseases, Drug & Alcohol, Clinical Pharmacology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology & Dermatology. Xavier 7 South also currently encompasses inpatient medical oncology cancer services.

About you:  
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Registered Nurse who possess a passion for person centred care.

Selection Criteria:

• Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.

• Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency and a minimum 12 months post graduate acute hospital experience preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team.

• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.

• Demonstrated computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system.

• Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a registered nurse.

• Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment.
