JOB OBJECTIVE:

  • As a Scrum Master, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective application of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices to drive the successful development and delivery of our BI products.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Scrum Process Facilitation: Act as a servant leader and Scrum expert, guiding the development team and product owner in the effective application of Scrum principles and practices. Organize and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and self-organizing environment within the development team. Facilitate communication, transparency, and information sharing among team members, product owners, stakeholders, and other teams.
  • Product Backlog Management: Collaborate with the product owner to refine and prioritize the product backlog. Ensure that backlog items are well-defined, appropriately estimated, and ready for the development team to work on.
  • Removing Impediments: Identify and resolve any obstacles or impediments that may be hindering the team's progress. Proactively work to eliminate bottlenecks and create a smooth development process.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on team's progress using relevant Agile metrics, such as sprint burndown, velocity, and cycle time. Provide insights into the team's performance to stakeholders and identify areas for improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Facilitate retrospectives to reflect on past sprints and identify actionable improvements that can enhance the team's efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations. Ensure that the team is aligned with stakeholder priorities and that deliverables meet customer requirements.

QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification.
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master in Agile software development, preferably with Business Intelligence or data-related projects.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, principles, and practices.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve their best performance.
  • Proficiency in using Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence concepts, data warehousing, and analytics is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Continuous learning mindset and a passion for staying updated on Agile trends and practices.
