JLL Design Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our interiors studio.  This individual will contribute to the growth of our business through detail-oriented, process-mindful and best-in-class project delivery for our clients and coordination with our team.

The Project Manager implements the successful management of the design solution across multiple projects, serving as the leading main point of contact to the client, oversight of the design team, workflow planning and providing technical expertise to the team.  This individual oversees the creative thought and ideation process, organizes project communications and serves as the quality assurance and control lead during all phases of the design process.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 8+ years’ experience working on commercial Interior Design projects, ground-up architecture is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field OR licensed Architect or candidate pursuing architectural licensure.
  • Fluent in AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid knowledge of building codes and accessibility guidelines.
  • Excellent client communication and management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude - must be self-motivated and self-managed and have the ability to multi-task and organize several projects at a given time.
  • Excellent listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Ability to excel under pressure to meet deadlines and prioritize assignments.
  • Team player, culture-builder.
  • Seeks out and responds well to feedback and direction from others.
  • Ability to work both independently and within the fabric of a design team.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees documentation produced by team, redlining drawings, coaching and mentoring team members on technical and design aspects of work products and quality control policies and procedures.
  • Oversees designer responsibilities to coordinate with Architect of Record required reviews and deadlines.
  • Champion firm standards for project delivery, internal quality assurance and control and best-practices delivery.
  • Collaborate with firm’s Architects of Record to assure work is produced to best-in-class standards, in-line with project design intent and translatable to buildable solutions.
  • Manage and staff projects to client deadlines.
  • Team with the Studio Lead with project accounting tasks such as setting up new projects and reviewing monthly billing projections and invoicing.
  • Owning the Studio’s staffing schedule and coordinating workflow planning with Studio Lead on a weekly basis.
  • Interact regularly with Studio Lead as needed to run weekly staffing projections and serve as a Mentor to other design peers.
  • Expected 10% travel to project sites as required.
