The Prospect Research and Database Specialist ensures the effective use of the Raiser’s Edge database and provides intelligence and analysis of St Vincent’s community of donors and funders to colleagues and leadership.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Foundation Services the incumbent will lead on the identification and assessment of potential donors, optimising prospect pools, portfolio management and pipeline development across the Foundation.
The role also takes responsibility for donation processing and receipting.
Prospect Research and Database Specialist - $90,000 - $100,000
Key responsibilities of the role:
Provide research-based analysis to inform cultivation and solicitation strategies, pipeline development, and effective moves management
Manage and maintain the Raiser’s Edge Database, including adding additional functionality, regular record updates, data importing and integration, and data integrity
Working closely with Management, to provide internal stakeholders with advice, reports, analysis and recommendations providing meaningful insights and recommendations
Producing insightful, high-quality reports on current and prospective donors using financial, biographical, corporate and philanthropic information from a wide variety of trusted sources
Proactively identify new major gifts and planned giving prospects through data mining and qualitative and quantitative research techniques
Things that work for us:
Qualification in a relevant field with a minimum of two years relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
Experience in management of the Raiser’s Edge database, including administration, segmentation and reports and electronic database screening software
Experience with wealth screening, feasibility analysis, and campaign prospecting to identify the highest-level prospects
Knowledge of research techniques, online and print resources, including fundraising software to identify prospects through constituent list segmentation, queries, and push technology
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to interpret data and provide insights and recommendations
Current National Police Clearance, or willing to obtain
Current 2023 Flu Vaccine or the willingness to receive the 2024 Flu Vaccine when available, and a minimum of two (2) COVID-19 Vaccinations
