As a Senior Workforce Analyst, you will apply technical, statistical, and other skills to develop efficient and accurate workload calculations for all park locations for multiple Lines of Business. The analysis required includes forecasting, regressions, and end-to-end impact calculations. The analysis will be done for multiple purposes including operational projects, strategic projects, ad hoc requests, what-if analyses, and methodology redesigns. As a successful Senior Workforce Analyst, you will need to have passion and curiosity to understand the "why" behind performance, and the ability to create and support a story based on quantitative findings.

You will report to the Manager of Workload & Forecasting

What You Will Do

  • Develop creative solutions to meet calculated labor needs to staff each position throughout each day to provide desired Guest experience within budget with all levels of Operations, including Sr. Leadership, Labor Managers, Industrial Engineering, Finance, and Line of Business

  • Translate analytical results into clear, story-based presentations to share with non-technical and technical audiences

  • Provide Leadership to a team of non-union hourly Forecasters on day-to-day analysis and issue resolution, priorities, and provide mentoring and ongoing coaching

  • Conduct thorough business analyses and scenario planning, and develop sustainable algorithms and models

  • Perform accurate analyses to calculate workload needs and labor bridge impacts for assigned projects

  • Provide quick and reasonable estimates during project planning and anticipate business impacts

  • Monitor forecast drivers and provide recommendations on adjustments when it is not aligning with actuals

  • Lead/participate in Labor Observation study in operations to validate metrics and standards

  • Lead weekly Workload discussions with Labor Managers to identify any trends or issues, and review key metrics such as actuals/earned, workload/earned

  • Complete complex what-if analyses with minimal to no guidance

  • Manage projects and identify new methodology updates and revisions when needed

  • Use the results of the analysis to lay out appropriate recommendations

  • Confidently present to all levels of leadership, including VPs to help influence change in an operational format with an explanation behind the approach and root-cause

  • Work closely with cross-functional partners to build business cases with which to influence decision-making

  • The high complexity of driving Global projects with lots of unknowns, new content, and multiple partners

  • Build and maintain various analytical and reporting tools to simplify complex data into clear visualizations for various partners Work independently on ad hoc projects

  • Gain an in-depth knowledge of operational processes, including historical details, and become the subject matter expert of a particular line of business

  • Provide support to larger and more complex client areas including increased LOBs, intricate Operations, and unique scenarios

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in Labor planning, Workforce Management, or Operations Leadership

  • Creativity to approach problems across multiple teams in creative ways to achieve desired outcomes

  • Knowledge of mathematical and statistical analysis methods and real-world application

  • Experience with capacity/demand analysis and modeling techniques using multiple data sources

  • Proficiency in basic computer functions necessary to operate in a Windows environment and other technologies

  • Schedule availability to include weekends, variable shifts, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Simulation, or equivalent experience

  • Expertise in Tableau, VBA, and Microsoft Power apps

  • Disney Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Simulation, or equivalent experience
