Job Description

Amazon is seeking for a Loss Prevention Specialist with well developed Business Intelligence background to play a key role in the Loss Prevention and Security team in Brazil. Creating metrics, reports and data visualization that influence the security strategy of our logistics segment. This work will drive improvements to the customer satisfaction by reducing loss in transit and delivery related concessions.

We are looking for a creative thinker with deep analytics experience who know how to execute and deliver from concept. Ability and enthusiasm to be a leader on a team operating in a highly ambiguous environment is required.

As a Loss Prevention Specialist, you will play a key role on the development of key business metrics related to the Loss Prevention and Security area. You will need to interface with a diverse set of stakeholders including - business, data engineering, financial, Transportation, Customer Service and operations teams. To be successful, you should demonstrate the ability to balance excellent analytical and technical skills while clearly driving communication and collaboration with other key partners. As a member of the Loss Prevention team, you will also have the opportunity to leverage your passion for data science to create high impact solutions.

Key job responsibilities
- Build data visualization reports and tools for self-service consumption of data, e.g., Tableau/Power BI
- Analyze and extract relevant information from large amounts of both structured and unstructured data to help automate and optimize key loss prevention processes
- Define the business problem and solution approach autonomously with limited guidance.
- Analyze and validate data to ensure high data quality and reliable insights.
- Partner with data engineering teams to improve data assets, quality, metrics and insights.
- Proactively identify opportunity areas for deep dive investigations and loss prevention program.
- Write concise documents communicating results to stakeholders and visualize data to drive decision-making.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree
- Advanced English level;
- Relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analysis role
- Professional experience working with large data sets and writing complex SQL queries to pull data
- Proven experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting, familiarity with data visualization tools, e.g. Tableau
- Demonstrated ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Flexibility to work overtime if necessary.
- Availability to travel ~10% of the year.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Lean Six Sigma Certification;
- Experience in working with Supply Chain and Logistics operations;
- Experience in working with Security & Loss Prevention related matters;
- Advanced technical or business degree (MS, Masters in Information Science or MBA)
- Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
- Experience working with data engineering teams
