As part of our VTS business, our PRV team is primarily focused on the design, manufacture, delivery and support of protected mobility vehicles on a global scale. YOUR ROLE:

Our trades team is growing and we’re hiring Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanics (Year 3 and 4) to join us. This is your chance to work on the Australian made army vehicles Bushmaster and Hawkei. With guidance and mentorship of our experienced trades mechanics, you will work on diagnosis, fault finding and repairs and assistance to complete your apprenticeship and become a qualified mechanic.

Working at our Brisbane, Eagle Farm office, on Jagera and Turrbul Land, your exciting new career opportunity will see you:

  • Working as part of a wider team of trade professionals to carry out servicing and repairs to allocated vehicles that supports an agreed schedule and to defined quality standards and related specifications.

  • Collaborate with the wider team such as; Team Leaders, Maintenance Planners, Project Managers, Logistics, HSE and other Leaders as we all deliver against our commitments and ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.

  • Role modelling all things safety and proactively highlight potential risks within a culture focused on people.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

  • You must be currently pursuing Apprenticeship in Heavy Vehicles or similar with some experience in trades.

  • Experience in diagnosis, fault finding and fixing mechanical and technical issues with a passion for quality work.

  • Adept technical knowledge, mechanical aptitude and a proven ability to follow set processes.

  • Team player and natural problem solver with a high attention to detail in everything you do.
