Exciting opportunities exist to work in a casual capacity as Theatre Technician within our Perioperative Team and join our Resource Unit.

We have a variety of shifts available 6, 8 & 10 hour shifts enabling a positive balance between work and personal life.

ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE

St Vincent’s Private Werribee specialises in orthopaedic/Robotic Joint Replacement, cardiology, ear nose and throat, plastic and reconstructive surgery, urology, gynaecology, general surgery including Bariatric , and vascular surgery. The Theatre Technician works under the direct or indirect supervision of the Theatre Technician Manager, Nurse Manager and ANUM.

ABOUT YOU

The successful applicant will be responsible for;

  • Assisting the Surgeon and Nursing Staff with surgical procedures through provision, operation and maintenance of theatre equipment and the positioning / preparation of patients.
  • Facilitating efficient Perioperative processes and ensure the smooth operation and running of Perioperative Services
  • Ensuring equipment and stock are available at all times for the other Perioperative Services staff.

What you need:

  • Certificate 3 in Health Services Assistance (operating Theatre Support) from an accredited institution
  • Previous experience as a Theatre Technician
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
