Job Description

  • Read assembly drawings and weld simple and complex components, including pipes, according to drawings or other production documents and instructions.
  • Handle components and assemblies with electric winch, forklift and/or overhead crane.
  • Check and repair weld leaks according to specifications and established methods.
  • Occasionally mark, assemble and tack simple and complex components according to drawings or other production documents and instructions.
  • Solder, grind and occasionally mark, assemble and tack copper foils inside tanks or other components.
  • Minimize distortion caused by soldering.
  • Solder and desolder current transformer components in this department.
  • Complete check sheets and required documents.

Essential:

  • Diploma of vocational studies obtained following training lasting 18 months to 2 years
  • Minimum 2 years' relevant experience
  • Knowledge and ability to use oxy-acetylene equipment and electric arc welding (SMAW, GMAW, SAW, FCAW, pulsed arc), on all metals and in all positions.
