High Voltage Products is a business unit within Hitachi Energy. Your responsibilities :

  • You will develop the next-generation capacitors focusing on testing and design improvement.
  • Build experimental set-ups, conduct tests, and analyze test results, possibly including physical modeling.
  • Work with a global R&D team ensuring knowledge sharing, and timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Support the project teams in the installation and execution of tests, measurements and characterizations.
  • Plan laboratory activities for the consecution of the team and project goals, as per the guidelines of the company.
  • Expertise in relevant equipment and procedures for the testing of power electronic equipment, film capacitors or metalized film.
  • Keep laboratory equipment and installations in the right order and status. Alert about deviations.
  • Create ideas and proposals for new R&D projects.
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and other external partners
  • Document results in the form of technical reports, presentations, IP etc.

Your background :

  • Background in dielectrics, HV testing or electrical engineering, BSc or MSc Electrical/Electronics/Electrotechnical Engineering or relevant field equivalent in Electrical testing.
  • Ideally minimum of 3 Years of working experience in the field of HV electrical testing.
  • Sound analytical skills and experience with planning, conducting and analysis of experiments.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken. French would be an advantge.
  • Experience in, or ability to develop, project management and planning skills.
  • Bonus if you also have working experience in the field of film capacitors or film metallization.
