Job Description:

Within the Private Bank (PB) Division, the PB Transformation team has been empowered to shape and drive the transformation of PB in line with our strategic goals, by fostering innovation and implementing an Agile operating model in close partnership with Technology, Data and Innovation. PB Transformation leverages the latest technologies to modernize our products, processes and IT platforms, digitalizing and enhancing the way in which we serve our clients.

PB Transformation is structured into Tribe Domains that cover products, services and enablers, with Squads distributed around the world, across all regions where we operate.

We are seeking a highly motivated Tribe Lead Payment & Cards to work collaboratively with the Tribe Domain Lead and Tribe Domain CIO to define the tribe's vision and strategy and align the right talents to deliver the desired results, positive change, and value to Business and TDI.

As a Tribe Lead you will be responsible to build a world-class agile organization focusing on successful delivery, great teams, innovation, and technical excellence. You will shape the vision and the strategy of the Tribe and partner with the Tribe Domain Lead / Tribe Domain CIO and other Tribe Leads and will together be responsible for the success of the product area and squads.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, proven leadership qualities, and a passion for coaching and mentoring team members. You will be a role model for the Agile Mindset, act as a "servant leader", in which you will place yourself at the service of your employees, give and accept feedback, and develop an agile mindset culture.

Main responsibilities
- E2E delivery of services in respective area that create tangible added value for customers, leading the product owners of his/her squads in a disciplinary way.  
- Provides direction and priorities for multiple multidisciplinary teams from IT / Business and removes barriers that prevent the teams from creating value for customers. 
- Seeks close interaction with senior management and other Tribe Leads and manages to stimulate innovation and overcome business challenges through cooperation and networking. 
- Strategic Tribe ceremonies: Quarterly Business Review (prioritization, dependencies management) and Big Room Planning and represents the results. Leads the technical strategy, works for the product area and drives the necessary transformation when deploying the strategy.

- International role requiring management of people and deliveries across multiple countries, particularly with Germany

Skills and experience

The profile we are looking for should have:

- profound knowledge of the cards and payment products including product position, issuing processes and regulatory and security requirements

- the skills to think big, inspire and enthuse, stands up to senior management, generates team commitment, creates a trusting culture of working, making mistakes and learning while delivering outstanding business results.

- many years of leadership experience and has already worked in agile with cross-functional teams/squads. Knows how to lead by fostering an inclusive and agile engineering culture, can support and grow this culture in existing teams.

- the mindset to act collaboratively and unselfishly, to act as a servant leader (leading without authority, trusting the squads, delegating responsibility) and to continuously develop oneself. 

- a strong business/commercial experience coupled with an affinity for technology and the ability to evaluate technological decisions - with the aim of delivering better, faster and cheaper and creating customer value. 

- a very good command of English for working with international teams. German language would be nice to have as Tribe Leads might interact with German squads

- innovation and digitalization attitude, to be also evidenced by professional experience (e.g. start-ups)
