Position Summary
Thales is looking for talented Software Engineer Intern will be part of a team of Integration, Verification and Validation Engineers (IVVQ) and be responsible for planning and performing IVVQ for Encryption product line which involve appliance and connecters. The Software Engineer Intern will be required to perform hands-on role, taking part in IVVQ activities
Regulatory Compliance Requirements
Work authorization in US.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Perform test for enterprise security and cloud products.
- Perform Client/Server functional, integration, and regression and system tests.
- Work on creating test data, automate usecases for REST API, GUI and run in CI/CD pipeline using Gitlab, team city.
- Identify the code that needed to be optimize in test harness to increase productivity.
- Report product defects using a defect tracking system such as JIRA, create, and manage test cases in test management system.
Minimum Requirements
- Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Software Engineer, Information Systems or another related field of study - Preference pursuing Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering
- Experience in Software Development in test
- Experience with various programming languages such as python, go-Lang, PowerShell
- Experience in working with different OS such as Ubuntu, Red hat, CentOS, Windows
- Experience in working with cloud such as AWS, Azure
- Comprehensive knowledge with software languages including Shell script, JavaScript, Python, GoLang - Hadoop is a plus
- Comprehensive knowledge with agile methodology and test-driven development
Special Position Requirements
This is a remote and hybrid position located in San Jose, CA with 2-3 days in the office.
Pay Transparency
The anticipated TTC range for this role is $20 - $30 per hour. The Company reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s status protected by local, state, or federal law.
