General information:

Mission statement:

Responsible for providing field service activities to customers including testing, commissioning, installation supervision of substation components (GIS/AIS, power transformers) and technical advice in identifying and correcting technical problems associated with start-up. Researching, evaluating, and recommending new products or equipment upgrades that will meet customer needs. Participate in the review of project constructability during tendering as well as project execution. 

Your responsibilities:

  • You will implement and ensure adherence to safety regulation on every projects according to Hitachi Energy Standard, work in accordance with Hitachi Energy procedures using applicable tools.

  • You will prepare field service works documentation and reports and review it with customer and get approval, supervise or execute the erection and commissioning according to Hitachi Energy scope of work.

  • You will implement actions to explore all possibilities and eliminate/minimize problems, ensure that project schedules, related to field service works are met.

  • You will coordination with all related personnel among the site team as well as engineering team for smooth functioning, build and maintain Hitachi Energy/Customer relationship to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • You will participate in technical discussion/meeting with customer and sub-contractors and in reviewing the technical aspects of design and report to lead engineer for any deviation, inconsistency or necessary changes found or to be made at site.

Your background:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.

  • Minimum 5 to10 years of relevant experience in substation projects, working with OEM multinational companies with offshore experience.

  • The successful candidate must have proven knowledge, skills and experience for the successful delivery of field service activities for GIS/AIS substation equipment and system.

  • Able to work independently, provide supervision, technical advice and solving technical problems related to installation and testing of high voltage GIS/AIS and power transformers.   Successful implementation of safe systems of work, effective site quality and subcontractor management, proficient with MS Office and projects.

  • Understand the technical aspects of substation equipment mainly high voltage GIS as well as AIS equipment and power transformers.

  • Must possess all required Certifications/Licenses from relevant local Authorities, to execute GIS/AIS Electrical Projects.

  • Good command of English, spoken and written.
