Suspension Engineer (m/f/d)

In this role you will support our application engineering projects as well as the optimization of customized suspension components including serial and after market development. You will report to the Head of Engineering Europe.

Key Accountabilities and Activities

• First contact person to customer (OEM) in terms of technical discussions and delivery of solutions.
• Leading customer discussion on technical project level regarding products or systems regarding customer requirements with focus on vehicle dynamics and comfort.
• Supporting engineering customer projects from acquisition to end of production
• Plan, conduct and evaluate testing facility activities in accordance with customer development planning as well as leading the technical part of suspension tuning sessions with customer
• Ensure the communication, schedule and quality of supplier together with procurement organization.
• Contributor as part of the global Suspension R&D Group of Hitachi Astemo

Your profile

• Engineering degree for mechanical engineering or comparable
• Ideally 3 years of experience in the field of automotive suspension design as well as OEM and Supplier contacts for suspension area
• Experience in product and application development i.e component responsibility
• German and English as essential language skills, French optional
• Technical project management skill
• Good CAD skills, preferrable Catia V5
• Team player in multi-cultural team environment
• Service oriented working and able to manage expectation
