Job Description:

Working within the Global Product Group Automation and Communication, you will define and develop the Automation Platform for Power Automation Solutions which is used by our global customer base. As part of the automation platform & solutions global product management team, you’re the thought leader and key contributor to meet the automation application business objectives of our unit. 

Your responsibilities

• Define and drive the strategy and development of new Automation Platform and solutions for Grid Automation

• Identify market growth opportunities - collect, verify, and define market requirements for power system related automation solutions and applications across different customer segments

• Work goal oriented in close collaboration with different internal business units, end customers and development teams

• Understand the automation functional and technical needs of internal and external customers, identify the gaps in the current solutions and lead the full process to implement the new platform and solutions. 

• Drive operational efficiency by delivering appropriate application and solution knowledge information and training (technical and sales) for the Sales and Marketing team

• Conduct trainings on automation Platform and solution principles and strategies.

Your background

• MSc/BSc in Electrical Grid Automation and Automation/oT Technology or equivalent

• At least 10 years of hands-on experience with deep understanding for electrical grid automation / oT platform and solution development 

• Strong background in international automation and oT related standards and regulations such as IEC and IEEE

• Personable, pro-active, professional and able to demonstrate full commitment to exceptional customer care and service in all activities

• Compelling communication, negotiation and presentation skills incl. e.g., able to give keynote speeches in customer workshops and trainings

• Proven development / product management experience in requirements analysis, management, and change management
