General Information:

Hitachi Energy is seeking an Office / Site Planner (Project Planning & Controls Specialist – Office / Site Planner). The Planner will be based initially in the office, but then may transfer to the site location as necessary.

This is your opportunity to join a diverse and dynamic team that delivers state of the art technologies to our customers. Role requires relocation to new project site / office upon project completion.

HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a business Unit within Hitachi Energy, that develops, manufactures, installs, and commissions DC transmission systems on a global market. This developed HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine and land cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems between countries.

In this exciting role as Office / Site Planner, you are the one, who has the expert knowledge of Project Controls and who is responsible for the scheduling process of our delivery projects.

Responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for creating, maintaining, and analyzing the delivery projects’ current and forecasted schedule, including costs, resources, and risks.

  • You have an active role in developing solutions to handle delays.

  • You will follow up on the project’ site, produce reports and do regular analyses, for example S-curves, OTD, earned value and critical path.

  • When needed, you will be the one who draws the attention of project managers and project team on deviations and problems that may arise.

  • In the projects, you will work closely with the project team, project leader and other stakeholders.

  • The role of the planner is becoming increasingly important for our unit and you will have a key role in the further development of Project Controls.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred or related field and minimum of 3 years’ experience in the EPC environment.

  • Knowledge of required regulations pertaining to Health, Safety and Environment.

  • Proficient user of Primavera P6 and all MS Office Applications.

  • Knowledge of HVDC Technology and / or Electrical Substations preferred.

  • Position supports EPC business. Ideal candidate will be willing and able to relocate to next project site/state upon project completion.
