POSITION SUMMARY:

  • The purpose of this position is to work with the Project leadership team to assist them with project planning, reporting and co-ordination on our projects’ whilst adhering to the Company’s policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct all activities in a safe manner whilst adhering to HEPICS SH&E policies and statutory regulations and alerting others regarding potential concerns.
  • Ensure adherence to the HEPICS Quality Assurance system and that all documentation under your control conforms to HEPICS Quality and Management Systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Working with the Project leadership team to assist them with project planning, reporting and co-ordination on our projects. Experienced in Microsoft Project, you will be accountable for developing baseline project schedules, monitoring project performance (including variance analysis reporting and forecasting) and the tracking and monitoring of the program/project scheduling on our projects. You will be instrumental in supporting Projects Manager by utilising technical knowledge and experience to overcome obstacles and roadblocks ensuring deadlines and budgets are met. Integrate multiple schedules into a master project schedule, baseline, status, and perform progress measurement Early identification and communication of schedule risks and conflicts Support the Workshop Manager in preparation of daily and weekly project reports and lookaheads Directly engage with Subcontractors, Suppliers and Supervisors to obtain schedule data and progress updates Materials coordination, including logistical support, to ensure timely arrival for inclusion to projects from both internal and external sources

This position will be required to discuss work related choices with the Manufacturing Manager or delegate regarding decisions that will directly impact the department.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Proven experience in Project Scheduling in a Manufacturing environment Engineering or Trade background is desirable Strong analytical, time management, detail and planning skills Ability to pass a medical, drug & alcohol screen and Police Clearance Demonstrated research, problem solving and planning skills. Curiosity to understand existing business and explore new opportunities to improve H-E Parts Proven ability to work as a team and grow client relationships

SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS PREFERRED:

  • Advanced Microsoft office suite (outlook, word, excel, powerpoint).
  • Pronto or similar ERP experience.
  • Commitment to Safety and Quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously.
  • Willingness to work additional hours to meet the demands of the role.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as and when required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee may occasionally be required to handle equipment with their hands, reach and hold materials weighing up to 10 pounds, climb in and onto equipment and mount stairs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving objects (materials handled and transported throughout the plant via cranes, fork trucks and other employees).  The employee may also be exposed to dust and heat while performing the functions of this job.
