About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer to lead the development of our UI Graph framework, a pivotal tool in visualizing and contextualizing complex cybersecurity data including processes, network operations, assets, and intelligence. The ideal candidate has a passion for building graph visualization applications using toolkits such as KeyLines, alongside a leadership acumen to steer our engineering team towards groundbreaking achievements.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive the execution, delivery and architecture of the UI Graph’s framework 

  • Configure and build UI experiences with ease for their end users by collaborating with cross functional teams, architects and software engineers.

  • Determine how to visualize the data, ensuring it is compelling, digestible and memorable

  • Architect the data layer powering the Graph’s framework

  • Consider the customer and business impact of decisions and make appropriate tradeoffs

  • Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable asking questions, looking for help, and sharing their perspectives.

  • Maintain expert knowledge of current best practice, and able to coach and support colleagues in their growth

  • Coordinate cross functional projects from an architectural perspective

What You’ll Need:

  • Demonstrable experience in building, delivering and maintaining graph visualization applications at scale

  • The ability to compile accurate and detailed design and support documentation

  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting (TypeScript / JavaScript)

  • Experience with Javascript visualization libraries (WebGL, Three.js, GLSL)

  • Experience with front-end or API layer frameworks (REST API, GraphQL, Node/NPM)

  • A good understanding of Cloud Technologies and end to end delivery of data intensive SaaS products

  • Some D3 knowledge would be a bonus

Bonus Points:

  • Experience using KeyLines toolkit

  • A desire to collaborate closely with users, designers, & testers to deliver quality software that solves problems.

  • A deep understanding of JavaScript and considerable experience building applications with modern frameworks such as Ember, AngularJS, or React/Flux.

  • Experience with testing frameworks, tools and methodologies such as QUnit, Mocha & Selenium.

  • Functional knowledge & interest in developing genuinely accessible interfaces.

  • Strong HTML & CSS skills, with bonus points for experience with animation, knowledge of approaches to scalable/modular CSS, Tailwind etc.

  • Familiarity with client-side build processes & tools - Webpack, Turbopack, Ember CLI etc

  • Comfortable with Git/version control workflows.
