Amex GBT Egencia is seeking a Sales leader for the Americas, a key role in our Americas SME leadership team.  You will be responsible for leading and growing a team of 6+ sales professionals in North America to help deliver our SME Americas growth ambitions – the number one priority for the company - all while selling the industry’s leading software and services in business travel. 

We’re seeking a dynamic, strategic leader who can build a strong sales culture. You will help shape our Americas and global SME sales approach, and coach and empower your teams to achieve their goals professionally and personally. In doing so, you will also partner closely with our Marketing and SDR organization, and collaborate with our Account Management team and our Sales organization. 

What you will do:

  • Lead and empower a sales team of 6 field sales; motivating and inspiring the team, driving and delivering consistent sales signature performance, and coaching them grow their capabilities and careers over time; support professional and technical knowledge needed to understand the corporate travel market, Egencia’s solution and our competitors
  • Partner with Americas Account Management, Implementation and other cross-functional teams to ensure our new signatures are delivering end-to-end segment volume growth to ensure we deliver our annual trading plan for SME segment overall
  • Grow the team as we continue to invest by hiring and quickly ramping and coaching new employees to productivity
  • Define & execute the strategy for your sales territories, ensuring alignment with and input to the broader Americas and global SME sales strategy; effectively position Egencia’s value proposition in this highly strategic but competitive market; Develop and maintain an outbound prospecting strategy and culture across sales team as a critical element of this
  • Partner and collaborate with other Egencia teams to identify and remove barriers and drive initiatives to improve our collective sales and trading performance e.g. other regional SME sales teams, AMER Account Management team, SDRs, Marketing, Contracting, Sales Ops, B2B Excellence
  • Publicly represent Egencia in the Americas market, including actively participating in travel association events, and networking with partners and suppliers

What you will bring:

  • 5-7 years of experience in sales and people management
  • Proven track record in managing and directing a highly skilled, motivated and successful results-orientated team
  • High level of familiarity with territory development strategies and analysis
  • Experience in business to business sales, preferably in software-as-a-solution, service or consulting industry
  • Strong leadership qualities with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Deep understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with strong change management skills
  • History of coordinating with peers in other teams for overall success of the organization
  • Ability to hire, onboard, and upskill new talent and identify opportunities of career growth within the organization

The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $119,000 to $232,000.  The national range provided includes the base salary that Egencia expects to pay for the role.  Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.

This role is eligible for one of our Variable Incentive Plans, which award cash incentives for individual and/or team achievement.  This role is also eligible to be nominated for awards under the company Equity Incentive Plan, which is designed to align participants' interests with those of shareholders.  For information about our comprehensive US benefits programs and eligibility, please review our Benefits-at-a-Glance document.
