What will you do in this role?

You will support the construction team by ensuring your team can complete homes on time, within budget and to Oakwood’s quality standards, with all required documentation. You will be responsible for the following job duties.

  • Assist construction managers to publish and maintain project schedules, and communicate project updates

  • Maintain accurate work logs of construction activities and job information sheets

  • Oversee construction contract administration and submittal log processes to ensure that the contract document requirements are met throughout the construction experience

  • Enforce quality control process measures that ensure compliance with contracts, building, and code regulations

  • Assemble the closeout package

  • Ensure permits are applied for and received to prevent any potential construction delays

  • Establish rapport and relationship building with county representatives, owners, and team

  • Be responsible for documentation of processes and success/fail sheet  

  • Ensure all soft costs are taken care of and reimbursed by the owner – be the main point of contact

  • Coordination with purchasing as needed, assisting with scopes and contract adherence, as well as all change orders

  • Walk homes with builders and compare installs with specs and scopes

  • Work out of the field trailer office as needed

  • Assist with VPOs and overall budget planning/forecasting

  • Cultivate and maintain Trade Partner Relationships

  • Provide safety support – including but not limited to ensuring trade partner safety agreements are up to date

  • Ensure OCIP Compliance

  • Be the point person for Trade Partner OCIP Enrollment

  • Track lien waiver and draw schedules

  • Provide SWMP Support

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working for a residential production builder or similar field

  • Leadership skills

  • Excellent organization and project management skills

  • Excellent ability to multi-task, strong attention to detail, effectiveness at prioritization, and very adaptable

  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including communication with internal and external customers.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.

  • Ability to hold oneself accountable and possess a high degree of self-awareness

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

All benefits are subject to qualification and hire dates.

Base Salary: $70,000 – 80,000 annually

FLSA Status: Exempt

Bonus Type: Performance Bonus
