As the Lead Data Analyst you will define, design, and drive the implementation of a future state data and information architecture to support Stryker’s organization and strategy. You will focus on division and enterprise-wide Business Intelligence, elevating Stryker’s approach to data by providing these Business Intelligence solutions that supply our business leaders and sales teams with information to support and inform business strategy, opportunity, negotiations, and decisions.

*This is a hybrid role requiring onsite work Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday, with offsite work available Thursday/Friday.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with key stakeholders to lead and drive increased data literacy and adoption of data-driven insights.
  • Lead in the consultation and gathering of business requirements by ensuring key objectives are identified.
  • Build Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements.
  • Analyze data and provide actionable insights/recommendations to improve overall performance.
  • Investigate reporting issues from supported business units and provide technical expertise to resolve and follow-up in a timely manner.
  • Create/modify custom Structured Query Language (SQL) for moderate to complex data pulls.
  • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) activities to ensure the data integrity of new/existing reporting.
  • Lead the commercial business in the analysis of its data in preparation for software implementations/upgrades, business initiatives, as well as Mergers & Acquisitions.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to existing analytics tools, databases, data collection methods, statistical methods, technology, and training methods.
  • Contribute to projects with cross-functional teams to determine analytics/statistical needs, define key metrics, measure business performance, and implement data related initiatives/tasks.

What You Need   

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, Computer Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Science, Business, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
  • 4+ years of data analysis and reporting experience required.
  • Experience with Excel in data analysis, sorting, cleansing, reporting and other advanced methods required.
  • Experience writing and running SQL queries required.
  • Experience building and developing Power BI dashboards and reporting required. 
  • Basic data modeling and fundamental core database concepts required.
  • Proficient in business intelligence and analytics platforms as well as coding languages (i.e., Power BI, SQL, DAX, M) required.
  • Experience presenting written and verbal communications including explanation of data, and insights to business and technical leaders required.

$

salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
