Work Flexibility: Not availableThis entry level position will assist in identification and implementation of process, procedure, and system improvements in a medical manufacturing environment. For example, component qualification process, process validations, skip lot process, change process, material specification creation and review, evaluating and investigating non-conformances and corrective and preventive actions found in manufacturing and from customer complaints. Coordinate with existing Quality Engineers and cross-functional areas to determine robust root cause analysis of production issues to determine the best courses of action. The role has clearly defined procedures and tasks as well as defined guidelines to aid in decision making. Technical knowledge required is limited to the tasks performed in own discipline area and is considered basic. The tasks are generally routine and manual. The job is expected to follow detailed and defined rules / instructions and to make simple judgement in straightforward situations. Typically requires selecting between solutions already established. This job typically requires no experience. Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): • Ability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2022 • Currently majoring in one of following core engineering/applied sciences disciplines (General Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Quality). • Enrolled student attending a college or university with an expected graduation date on or before September 2025. • Ability to work independently as well as with cross functional teams. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): • Strong academic performance (preferred GPA of 3.0 or above), • Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions on teams and/or in student or civic organizations. • Experience with MS Office programs (Excel), Statistical Programs (Minitab) and document control programs (Agile).Travel Percentage: NoneStryker Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
