Position summary:
This role entails the design, development, and execution of C&B programs in Japan. The incumbent will play a crucial role in providing analytical and operational support for the implementation of Total Rewards Policies. This involves attracting, retaining, and motivating talent to foster a high-performance culture within the organization.
Essential duties & responsibilities:
- Lead C&B programs in alignment with established policies and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance of compensation and benefits standards with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Manage annual compensation projects and initiatives, including bonus calculations, salary reviews, annual performance appraisal processes, and budgeting.
- Collaborate with business leaders and partners to design, develop, and review compensation plans and C&B initiatives supporting business goals.
- Provide training to line managers on the intricate use of HR and Compensation policies.
- Prepare and monitor the compensation and benefits budget, ensuring regular reporting and necessary adjustments.
- Provide project management support for complex benefit projects, translating business needs into project plans, conducting impact assessments, and defining milestones, timelines, deliverables, and quality standards.
- Analyze C&B market surveys, benchmark best practices, fine-tune HR-related systems, and propose initiatives to enhance the company's market position in talent attraction, reward, and retention.
- Complete mandatory reporting as required by rules and regulations.
- Take the lead in the Health and Safety Committee.
Education & special trainings:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university required.
- Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field is preferred.
Qualifications & experience:
Minimum of 6 years professional experience in the areas of human resources.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in C&B or a related functional specialty.
- Solid operational experience, including managing Total Rewards.
- Knowledge of country labor laws.
- Ability to influence multiple stakeholders across business units and functions to align on solutions.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer relations and building strong, influential relationships at all organizational levels, with a problem-solving and proactive service orientation.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with Japanese (Native Level), English (Business Level) Experience in people management, including leading and supervising teams, overseeing employee development, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
