As our Senior Specialist, Communications and Employee Engagement for our Medical Division, you will lead site communications and event planning, while collaborating with our broader team and leaders.

What you will do: 

This position will lead the communications strategy for employees and events at our Redmond site. They will work closely with the communications team to develop and execute communications plans, craft engaging content and ensure our messaging is consistent, clear and resonates with our audiences.

  • Coordinate planning, creation and distribution of divisional communications through the appropriate communication channels and platforms, ensuring transparent and effective communication for target audiences.
  • Write, edit and proofread various communication materials to maintain a consistent and compelling brand voice.
  • Communicate urgent and business critical communications to various audiences across appropriate channels in a timely manner with attention to detail.
  • Manage and update content on the company intranet and other channels to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
  • Execute on event requirements for the Redmond site including by not limited to Stryker 25+ Anniversary breakfast, Bring your family to work day, Employee Appreciation Week, 401K Match Day, Redmond summer BBQ, Leadercast, Restart a Heart Day and holiday lunch/activities.  This also includes ERG and community involvement initiatives as well as additional events and programs, as required for the site.
  • Lead the Redmond-based engagement committee – RAC (Redmond Activities Committee)
  • Support on-site customer visits as required, in partnership with Customer and Employee Experience Team.
  • Execute meeting requirements, plans and schedules for assigned meetings. Requirements include but are not limited to invitations, registration, air and ground travel, food and beverage, audio visual, amenity selection, billing reconciliation, program evaluations and follow-up with minimal direction.
  • Execute events within established budget and ensure timely and accurate processing of expenses.
  • Establish relationships with immediate team, leadership and internal stakeholders to provide a team approach to the successful planning, communication and implementation of all programs.

What you need: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent work experience required.
  • 2 years’ work experience required, with experience in communications, meeting, conference, or special event planning preferred.
  • Expertise in Marketo, SharePoint 365, MS Office, Zoom, Teams and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  • Ability to balance demands of multiple projects within expected deadlines.
  • High degree of attention to detail and follow through.
  • Demonstrates ability to think creatively and critically to solve problems.

Travel Percentage: 10%
