What you will do

As the Senior Data Analyst will support/lead the execution of initiatives and projects to enhance data analysis and reporting across the Endoscopy DivisionThis position will be responsible for providing the organization with high-quality data and analysis which will primarily be accessed through dashboardsThis position will primarily support various departments within a specific business unit and will need to collaborate with business stakeholders and other members of the Business Intelligence team to develop relevant dashboards. 

 

This position will be responsible for both developing and maintaining automated, accurate data sets to support their dashboards and internal customers.   

 

In addition to responding to requests from the business, this position will support the identification of new opportunities and technologies to help drive a data-driven culture, as well as propose how those new capabilities would be implemented.  This may include but is not limited to proposing new data reporting solutions for internal/external customers, identifying & demonstrating capabilities of new software platforms, and providing training & resources to help empower self-service analytics within the business.    

 

The Senior Data Analyst may be responsible for mentoring others and providing technical leadership across a specific area of expertise associated with data reporting and analysis

  • Ability to manage individual tasks with some guidance and flag project risks as they are identified. 

  • Develop, oversee, and maintain the required reporting dashboards, data collection tools, and training content with some guidance. 

  • Support/lead the process to develop data models to be utilized by the commercial business. 

  • Manage the implementation, organization, and administration of the various Power BI workspaces with some guidance. 

  • Support/manage the data model refresh schedules for the various reporting dashboards to ensure the business has refreshed and accurate data. 

  • Support/lead process to evaluate financial impacts for existing projects and new opportunities. 

  • Guide collaboration efforts with partners across functions.   

  • Identify and communicate expectations on timing and scope of project work with some guidance. 

  • Support/lead discussions with data analysts, data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities where data analytics concepts can be applied to real-world business opportunities.   

  • Translate stakeholder requirements to potential data analytics solutions with some guidance. 

  • Support/lead the investigation and implementation of new data analytics capabilities to support the needs of the business.   

  • Create tools to evaluate dashboard usage to help identify and drive future enhancements. 

  • Apply fundamental and some advanced concepts, practices and procedures for problem solving. 

  • Work in close partnership with business stakeholders to identify and support key commercial initiatives. 

  • Exhibits ability to thrive in a team environment and to contribute to team culture.

What you need

  • Bachelor’s degree OR 6+ years of applicable data analytics work experience required in lieu of degreeDegrees in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or other relevant engineering/technical field preferred. 

  • Graduate degree preferred. 

  • 2+ years of work experience related to data analytics activities. 

  • Experience with interpreting & communicating analytical content. 

  • Proficient in business intelligence and analytics platforms (e.g. Power BI, Tableau). 

  • Proficient in programming languages and data structures. 

  • Proficient in at least one programming language central to data analytics (e.g. DAX, M, SQL, Python, R). 

  • Proficient in data transformation and cleansing and relational database and data modeling concepts. 

  • Proficient in data governance concepts including the need for documented definitions, calculations, sources, lineage, etc. 

  • Applied experience with project management tools & framework (e.g. scrum and agile frameworks) preferred. 

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive). 

$85,500 - $182,200 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Travel Percentage: 10%
