What you will do

The Principal Value Engineer executes assigned project elements with an emphasis on should cost and value engineering for sustaining projects.

  • Employ project management and engineering experience to analyze part and portfolios for cost and other opportunities for savings

  • Drive Should Cost modeling

  • Drive Supplier Gemba to identify cost improvement opportunities.

  • Learn and practice use of value engineering tools and templates to drive consistency across all efforts

  • Own and manage functions of value engineering analysis and produce outputs

  • Co-lead should cost sprints in focus categories or across categories

  • Liaise with various functional stakeholders to get inputs into building should cost models

  • Drive excellence throughout the agile cost sprint execution

  • Codify learning into organizational best practices

  • All other duties as assigned

What you will need

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant/related experience required

  • High level of PC Skills required - power BI experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, product and process design required

  • Must be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and have the ability to understand geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing.

  • Experience in an FDA regulated or regulated industry- preferred

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt / Statistics SME - preferred

Travel Percentage: 20%
