We prefer this person to live in the Northern California area within the Sutter Health footprint.Responsible for the development, expansion, implementation, management and support of Sutter’s supplier relationship management and supplier diversity programs. Cultivates a culture of inclusion by leading, implementing, and developing diversity procurement programs aligned with business goals and California state requirements. Partners to ensure integration, impact, visibility, and sustainability of initiatives as well as managing the day-to-day administration of various projects. This position will oversee all supplier diversity programs and initiatives including diversity metrics and reporting.

EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Bachelor's: Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Supply Chain or related field
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
6 years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Familiarity with industry certifications, State of California requirements, tools and technologies that support supplier diversity reporting and optimization.
Solid understanding of procurement operations, supplier diversity best practices and industry trends.
Understands business and operational requirements, demonstrating ability to design and establish goals to meet long and short- term objectives.
Ability to work independently and produce results with minimum direction.
Operates as a change agent; can influence and negotiate effectively with internal and external parties.
Demonstrates excellent planning, organizational and analytical skills.
Demonstrates credible leadership presence, with the ability to respond to questions with logic, clarity, calmness and authority; and the ability to motivate and engage others.
Ability to build and establish effective working partnership with employees, peers and leaders to achieve business objectives.
Verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey concepts and communicate information or issues in a manner that is readily understood by management and employees.
Delegates effectively, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with changing business priorities.
Demonstrates ability to work/interact with a diverse population while respecting cultural and linguistic differences and fostering an inclusive work environment.
