- Knowledge on Installation, migration and maintenance of MQ and related products.
- Understand and work on ISV Products like IBM Tivoli Omegamon XE, IBM MQ explorer, MQ visual edit, MQAUSX v3.5 (capitalware) and homegrown tools.
- Knowledgeable in MQ system performance and Tuning as well as MQ Monitoring.
- Knowledge on QSG configuration/setup, CFSTRUCT, SMDS and Group object (qlocal, channel, Qremote, Process)definition.
- Understanding of how application interacts with MQ
- Knowledge on SMP/E, HOLDDATA, early codes, Zones/Libraries, System libraries, End of life, Review implementation procedures and make recommendations to ensure a smooth product release and system upgrades.
- Understanding of z/OS functions such as: APF, LINKLIST, LPA, VSAM.
- Ability to perform problem determination as well as interface with IBM problem support group.
- Familiar with Disaster Recovery procedures and test.
- Understanding of ACF2 Security
- Knowledge of sysview for MQ
