The Senior Manager will support the Principal EMEA Corporate Tax who leads the EMEA tax compliance, controversy, and transfer pricing group, made up of 7 tax professionals and part of the wider EMEA tax team.
The primary focus and responsibility for this role is to contribute to developing, maintaining, documenting and defending the EMEA transfer pricing operating model to ensure it is robust in response to tax legislation developments, tax audits and business change. The EMEA tax group is also responsible for providing advice to the business on market specific matters and the Senior Manager will be involved in supporting the EMEA business in this regard.
The Senior Manager will work with junior members of the team to foster their development and experience across transfer pricing, advisory and controversy matters.
This role requires a highly motivated tax professional with strong technical and interpersonal skills who wishes to work in a dynamic global organisation.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a requirement to be on-site 4-days per week.
Ad-hoc travel may be required.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Qualified CTA, ADIT or equivalent
- Significant PQE experience in transfer pricing
- Proven ability to produce quality research and analysis, both in a quantitative and narrative form - directly and with or through teams
- Project management experience of tax projects
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines to deliver
- Analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to make decisions and recommendations
- Ability to summarise and communicate complex technical issues
- Ability to manage workload to tight deadlines and prioritise multiple tasks and work streams
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships at all levels
- Experience of global tax authority engagements and controversy management is desirable
- Experience in operational transfer pricing is desirable
- Experience of working in a senior role in a tax department of a large multinational company would be highly beneficial
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
