Overall Purpose of the Role
This role, within The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) Cross-Platform Research team, is responsible for representing the voice of the consumer and putting the consumer at the heart of business decision making.
In a constantly evolving media environment, the Senior Analyst, Cross-Platform & Data Operations, plays a vital role in assisting different lines of business by providing insights into audience performance and marketplace dynamics across content and viewing trends from both linear and non-linear platforms. This role is dedicated to analysing and interconnecting platform data across various content genres: Kids & Family, Factual, and General Entertainment.
Partnering with Business Development, Content Strategy and Media Networks teams, this individual is deeply passionate about analysing viewer data for a range of sources and can extract insights efficiently, as well as ensure data cleanliness and accuracy. Furthermore, they have an innovative approach to data manipulation and analysis, always looking for ways to improve and streamline existing processes.
This role will support the Senior Research Manager, Cross-Platform and Data Operations, and works in partnership with the wider Media Research and Insight team.
This position is a fixed term contract for 9 months and requires this person to be in our Hammersmith offices 4 days a week.
Areas of Responsibility
Support the CP&A team in greenlight evaluation for Disney+ original productions through insightful content analysis and data pulling
This role is responsible for integration of industry tools for SVOD measurement into our analysis repertoire, the main point of contact for supplier relationship and the internal power user
Ownership (maintaining and updating) of centralised cross-platform data classification dictionaries to the higher standards of accuracy
Lead in the day to day relationship with Data Platform team in developing and maintaining tools and cloud-databases and providing conduit with broader media research team
Produce 3rd party data reports and support team management in championing across LOBs
Partnering with the broader research team in evolving insights and trends for specific stakeholder groups
Support the Senior Manager due diligence activities for newly adopted tools running stress-test analysis for data robustness and reliability
Working with local market research teams within EMEA, sharing best practice and guidance where applicable
Ensure specific insights support the local UK business
Build independent relationships and be comfortable presenting across functions focused on the genre

Skills Required
Experience in data visualisation, database and analytics tools (preferable skills but not essential)
Highly numerate and excellent analytical skills, including data manipulation
Outstanding attention to detail and ability to manipulate large datasets
Excellent organisational, written and presentation skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build clear insight from analysis & presentation of research data from a variety of sources
Experience & Professional Skills Required
Proficiency in SQL and experience querying large cloud-based data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake)
Desirable experience with R or Python (not essential)
Experience within a broadcaster or media research consultancy setting
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel and PowerPoint
Experience using Power BI, Tableau or Power Query – creation of PBI Dashboard is a plus
Experience in audience TV measurement tools, e.g. TechEdge
