About the Role:

Star Sports is the leading sports broadcaster in India. It offers a wide variety of sports content, broadcasting all major sports events such as IPL, ICC, Premier League, Pro Kabaddi, Wimbledon etc. Star Sports has redefined sports broadcasting in India with extensive cricket coverage, including domestic and international matches. It also offers several regional channels in different languages to cater to the diverse linguistic audience in India. Through the rapidly changing sports ecosystem, the need is to service our current acquisition and syndication partners whilst developing new revenue and content streams across various territories.

Context:
Star Sports is a key catalyst in espousing a multisport culture in India. Over the past 5 years, it has invested in and partnered with key stakeholders to popularize sports beyond Cricket. We serve high quality content to millions of customers across millions of devices, all of which are constantly evolving and changing. Sports is a big agenda for the network. From the dominating world of Cricket, the focus now is also on making other sporting events like PKL, Wimbledon, Premier League. The aim is to leverage existing syndication and acquisition partnerships in various markets to grow the business across the Indian subcontinent.

Key Responsibilities:
•Managing the syndication and acquisition operations process for all partners and licensees. This includes liaising with each partner and various teams internally for marketing, finance, production and satellite operations related matters.
•Executing contracts for new syndication deals.
•Liaising with federations like the ICC, BCCI, Cricket Australia, EPL, and Wimbledon for day-to-day matters.
•Payment recovery from licensees.
•Negotiation and implementation of addition revenue streams utilising Star’s vast network and reach

• Meet sales targets.

• Meet revenue expectations.

• Develop new revenue initiatives.

Qualifications:
• 6-8 years of relevant experience.
• Graduate/Post-graduate in any stream.
