Brief Department Description

The RTX Enterprise Services Strategic Affordability Analysis (SAA) organization has an immediate need for financial professionals to provide overall financial support for the Raytheon Division's Supply Chain and Estimating & Pricing organizations. We are seeking individuals to join our team as Principal Specialist, FP&A. This role will provide leadership and vision in our Strategic Affordability Analysis organization by analyzing supplier proposals, participating in determining material strategy and participating in supplier negotiations. Your work product will have a direct impact on Raytheon’s competitive posture in the defense marketplace and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will work closely with employees across Supply Chain, Finance, Estimating & Pricing, Engineering & Operations. For these reasons, a strong background in accounting, cost accounting, estimating & pricing, financial planning & analysis and analytical techniques is desired.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial factfinding audits at RTX partner subcontract sites; interfacing with senior level internal and external management (Company Owners, Presidents, Operations VPs).
  • Provide financial assessment of supplier proposed pricing through proposal analysis, historical financial analysis of supplier P&L and Balance sheet statements.
  • Provide written analytical assessment of individual costs elements associated with supplier proposals to provide assessments of fair and reasonable supplier pricing.
  • Provide compliance advice and counsel to RI&S Strategic Affordability, Supply Chain, Estimating and Pricing teams and Program management.
  • Participate in supplier negotiations and provide financial counsel to RTN Program office and Supply Chain team by providing what-if scenarios to achieve RTN program profitability targets.
  • Leading and supporting compliance and financial findings with Government auditors and Contracting officers.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in Cost Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Supply Chain or Estimating & Pricing
  • Capable of interacting collegially and professionally, and communicating clearly and concisely with all levels of the organization including customers and RTX supplier team members
  • Skilled at identifying, analyzing and resolving complex issues., capable of developing solutions to a variety of problems of significant scope and complexity.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling using such tools as MS Excel is mandatory.
  • Capable of producing clear and concise written reports describing analysis performed and the rational driving conclusions recommended.
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations, Cost Accounting Standards, and Defense Federal regulations (FAR, DFAR, CAS)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is a plus.
  • Ability to leading cross-functional teams by influencing without authority

Experience and Education

  • This role typically requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or finance and 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

Work Authorization Status:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools/sites that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite.  Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
