The Administrative Assistant will perform complex administrative activities in close relationship to the day-to-day work in one of our Engineering departments.

The position is located in Cedar Rapids, IA, and will be an on-site position.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the organization. Typical support tasks include scheduling meetings/conference rooms, catering, expense report preparation, tool support, and other onsite support assistance as needed. 
  • Creating and pulling of SAP reports to create metrics used by the team.
  • Serve as the focal point for site tool calibration logics, including inventory, tracking, purchase order submission, and vendor relationship management.
  • Assisting in coordinating onsite and offsite customer meetings, meeting logistics, food orders, and set up/take down.
  • Help in administering Sharepoint/Teamspace sites, Teams drive and other shared drives, including site content updates, user access, and assisting users with questions.
  • Interact with other administrative assistants and support staff collaboratively to share knowledge and schedule activities across the business.
  • Proofreads presentation content to ensure proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar usage; may perform minor document revisions to ensure clarity and formatting.
  • Establishes maintains and revises departmental files and coordinates logistics for archiving documents through vendor.
  • May prepare materials for departmental meetings or reviews.
  • Interfaces with personnel from numerous departments and external contacts.
  • Will assist in maintaining office supplies, including tracking, ordering, and by organizing. 
  • Assist in tasks associated with the onboarding of new employees.
  • Perform other duties as requested by leadership, including special projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Concur, Ariba, and SAP is preferred
  • Previous experience in administrative or customer service roles preferred
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to effectively prioritize work
  • High-level problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter, able to work independently
  • Enjoy working as part of a team and able to work well with others

The salary range for this role is 36,000 USD - 72,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
