 The Collins Aerospace Digital Technology Program Management Office is currently searching for a Project Cost Analyst to join our team. The candidate will work in COBRA and SAP to manage and report project financials. Ideally, the candidate will also help solve problems and drive process improvements. This position requires technical financial and accounting skills, along with the ability to understand capital and expense guidelines.  The position also requires the ability to understand how Collins Aerospace finance policies apply to current business situations.

** This individual can sit at any Collins domestic location or remote. **

What YOU will do:

  • You will network with project managers and Digital Technology Service Owners / Leaders.

  • You will have a good understanding of project cost management (ETC & EAC), system tool usage, such as SAP, and Microsoft products.

  • You will perform analysis of the project cost estimates and assumptions utilized in preparing the estimates.

  • You will identify capital vs expense items for projects and prepare a capital authorization request when needed.

  • You will create project investment summaries and assist project managers with variance analysis.

  • You will function as a professional with knowledge of industry practices and how to apply principles, concepts, and standards to resolve a range of issues.  Plans own activities in accomplishing objectives under general supervision.

  • You will use various software packages to prepare and review documents and records.

  • You will prioritize work and manage coinciding deadlines.

  • You will foster relationships with your DT peers all over the world that work and WANT to work at Collins.

  • You will learn how to work with DT finance and Collins business units to obtain actuals for projects.

Education & Experience:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.

  • Must be willing and able to travel 10%-20% of the time.

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

  • Prior experience with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, V-LOOKUP)

Skills We Value:

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, Finance or Accounting, or in the absence of a degree, six years of related experience; identified skills and experience.

  • Experience with COBRA and/or SAP

  • Experience with Microsoft Teams

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
