Job Summary:
 
Radio Frequency Technologies Operations has an opening for a Value Stream Leader in the Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) value stream.  The SAWs Value Stream product portfolio includes oscillators, solid state GaN transmitter modules, as well as a variety of hermetic and non-hermetic micro-electronic devices.  Responsibilities include full leadership and management accountability regarding the performance on all aspects of safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance for the multi-cell/multi-shift operation. The Value Stream Leader will be responsible for setting the standard and driving operational excellence throughout the organization.   This position requires an independent, self-motivated leader, that can drive the organization to meet goals and objectives consistently. 

This role requires daily interaction with other cross-business teams to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. These groups include technical support, manufacturing/test/design engineering, maintenance, production control, finance and various program management offices.  Achieving/exceeding safety, quality, delivery, cost goals and identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities using CORE, six sigma and lean methodologies are critical performance criteria for this position.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Supports deployment of manufacturing operations strategy, control systems, tools and metrics to accurately measure progress and drive continuous improvement.
  • Overall execution to delivery commitments
  • Workforce planning and forecasting, and employee hiring and training
  • Area layout and flow management
  • Capital identification and control of overhead expenses
  • Ensuring the full compliance of company policies and procedures


Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 7 years of prior relevant experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a government US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong management experience including the ability to make decisions with minimal supervision, goal setting, delegation, coaching, and motivating.
  • Manufacturing or industrial engineering and supervisory experience in the aerospace/defense industry.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
  • Solid interpersonal skills to manage tasks that bridge operations, production control, engineering, supply chain, and customer relations.
  • High computer literacy and with confidence and skill working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and familiarity with Raytheon systems (PRISM, PDM, VBS)
  • Metrics-driven
  • EVMS Certified
  • Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with a proven track record of lean or six sigma project implementations.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
