The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team:

Technical lead for executing the roadmap strategies for RTX specifically around Industry 4.0 and Smart Factory. This role will be a critical technical liaison between the business units. The ideal candidate will have experience integrating solutions into one another across multiple sites and business units. The preferable candidate will have considerable experience successfully partnering with Pratt and Whitney, Collins Aerospace, Raytheon and Corporate.

This individual will work 100% remote.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create digital solutions in software development, Industry 4.0, machine connectivity, and data analytics

  • Collaborate with the business units in the creation and maintenance data strategy for citizen development (Snowflake, Databricks, API endpoints)

  • Assist with the strategy to stand up and maintain critical production infrastructure (Linux and Windows VM’s, MSSQL Databases)

  • Assist factories with cyber security reviews and network segmentation

  • Modernize the business tech stack leveraging modern cloud tools (Azure, AWS)

  • Own and execute the RTX digital strategy and roadmap for Operations Technology

  • Provide integration support for factory hardware systems to communicate with enterprise systems, leveraging automated intelligent data pipelines

  • Define and meet KPIs for Industry 4.0 Transformation (cost savings, automation hours, connected machines)

  • Develop apps to automate manual processes, improve quality, and digitize historical records

  • Create the 3-to-5-year technical roadmap to include return on investment

  • Develop and identify a decision-making process on make versus buy solutions and technologies

  • Direct the decision-making process that results in the transformation of ideas into innovative initiatives

  • Must be willing and able to travel 10% to 20% of the time

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

  • 3+ years’ experience with Industry 4.0 and Smart Factory technologies, secure digital architectures, machine connectivity, data engineering and data analytics

  • 3+ years’ experience working across multiple sites and multiple business units

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
