The Opportunity:  

The ideal candidate for this role will be a junior professional in IT who will support the Senior Technician by ensuring all computer systems and related peripheral devices and components are configured and utilized effectively to support the local business processes, coordinating the use of internal resources and personnel and/or vendor support to ensure agreed service, security, performance, and availability levels of network computer systems are met. The successful candidate will report to the Infrastructure Service Support Senior Technician who will determine methods and procedures on new assignments and provide guidance.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Supports and troubleshoots the network computer and telecommunication systems, related peripheral devices and local area networks.

  • Configures, tests, and implements network computer systems and operating system architectures.

  • Analyzes and solves moderately complex problems of network (operating) system hardware and software components.

  • Maintains detailed documentation and procedures governing the network computer systems and peripherals in all aspects of its utilization.

  • Monitors systems and software to protect, backup, restore and store business data.

  • Implements new computer systems, operating systems, and applications.

  • Remains up to date with the latest operating systems, innovations, and industry best practices.

  • Maintains close relations with local management staff to ensure the local business processes are continuously and adequately being supported and developed by IT.

  • Works on moderately complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree, recognized IT Qualification and/or professional accreditation preferred.

  • At least 2 years’ of relevant experience.

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, users.

  • Ability to effectively present information to management.

  • Commitment to provide positive customer interactions via a listening, setting expectations, treating customers with respect and providing best in class solution.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • A Driver’s license is preferred and ability to travel to any of the Dubai offices as required.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the candidate is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The candidate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
