Concierge

Shift: 10:00am - 7:00pm Mon-Fri 

Pay: $50K

We are seeking a professional Concierge who will support our client’s world headquarters in Reston, Virginia.  The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of local businesses, entertainment venues, and travel options. We’re looking for a Concierge who understands the value of excellent customer service. The primary responsibilities of this position are greeting and, check-in of customers and guests into the Visitor Registration System. This will include creating and issuing photo ID and access control badges to contractors and visitors, ensuring the security of the building and being the face of the company. Candidates are expected to present a pleasant and professional impression to all guests, be highly organized, dedicated, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously.

  • Greet and check in guests, provide visitor badge
  • Make reservations at local establishments upon request
  • Prepare and display beverage and snacks options for guest
  • Answering phone calls and transferring to the appropriate department
  • General administrative and clerical support
  • Make conference room reservations
  • Submit tickets for building maintenance
  • Order catering for meetings as requested
  • Escort guests
  • Corresponds with guests who require follow up or solutions
  • Participates in and successfully completes all training programs.
  • Maintains the ambiance, style and cleanliness of the Concierge Desk ensuring all brochures, and literature are always stocked
  • Flexibility of work hours a must
  • Working hours vary based on role location. Core building hours are Monday-Friday from 7:00 am-7:00 pm
  • All other duties and tasks assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 3+ years Receptionist and/or hospitality experience required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or college coursework is preferred.
  • Some professional experience working in an administrative role in a very busy front desk setting is preferred.
  • Pleasant phone manner
  • Basic knowledge of locale attractions and destinations
  • Must be able to work in a busy and quickly changing fast paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Flexibility as it relates to work start and end times as needed
  • Candidate must be able to communicate professionally both in person and in writing.
  • The applicant must possess strong organizational skills and have a positive, problem-solving attitude and be able to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with desktop computing platforms (PC) and applications (MS Office Suite).
  • Adhere to the dress code and appearance policy.
