At our Kilkeel Facility, we manufacture aircraft interior seating for a number of worldwide customers. As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Senior Operations Supervisor, (Internal Job Title Manufacturing Leader) in our Seating business located in Kilkeel, Northern Ireland. 

 

The successful candidate can expect to: 

Provide leadership to a production team within a lean manufacturing environment where performance is measured against key performance metrics and quality standards and the focus is on driving a culture of continuous improvement. 

 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Ensuring performance delivery against key targets/metrics and quality standards (delivery of the Master Production Schedule and related KPI’s). 

  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement and cost reduction to maximise efficiency and effectiveness within a team. 

  • Effectively managing a team to increase line performance and development of individuals. 

  • Ensuring that all Health and Safety standards and requirements are met. 

  • Developing effective relationships within both the production and support departments in order to achieve organisational goals. 

  • Establishing appropriate courses of action through prioritising and planning activities.

What you need to succeed?  

Essential Criteria: 

  • Holds or working towards (final year) a Third Level Qualification in a STEM or Business related subject. 

  • 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role. 

  • 3 years’ experience within an operations role. 

OR 

  • 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role. 

  • 5 years’ experience within an operations role. 

 

Desirable 

  • 3 years supervisory experience within a fast paced Operations Environment. 

 

 

Shift Times : You could be required to work a shift at any time between the hours of 06:00 and 00:45 Monday to Thursday OR 06:00 to 13:00 on Friday. Or Night shift Monday to Thursday between the hours of 18:00 and 08:00
