Job Summary

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Systems Engineering Specialist to support a Foreign Military Sales Global Hawk program in Republic of Korea.

This Onsite Accompanied role is in South Korea, either Osan Air Base or Sacheon Air Base.

Willing and able to forward deploy anywhere in the world at a moment’s notice.

Responsibilities to Anticipate

  • Provide direction / perform sensor system maintenance on RQ-4 GH Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) Enhanced Integrated Sensor Suite.
  • Resolve technical problems and issues in accordance with product specifications and engineering data to recommend repair/sustainment of sensors.
  • Remove and install new hardware, update software, interpret engineering data, manage system configuration, operate, inspect, and test sensor systems equipment.
  • Analyze equipment failures to determine cause and recommend corrective action.
  • Monitor, analyze, and characterize the performance of sensor system specific test equipment.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs and document / manage performance and maintenance records.
  • Advise and mentor military / contractor technicians and key team members.

Basic Qualifications

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with avionics, sensors, electro-optical / mechanical, infrared and / or RF hardware engineering / maintenance.
  • Experience with Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers and Digital Multi-meters.
  • Experience with computer systems / networks and UNIX operating systems.
  • Experience working with intelligence imaging techniques and tactics, networking and UNIX based command line system administration.
  • Experience performing complex troubleshooting and analysis to correct system discrepancies.
  • Ability to interact with senior external personnel on significant technical matters, often requiring coordination between organizations.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with computer hardware / software / system integration experience including ground station support, and Solaris 8 / 10 operating systems.
  • Experience with UAVs and / or Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance aircraft maintenance.
  • Excellent communication skills necessary for problem resolution with military / internal customers and vendors.
  • Working knowledge of military aircraft maintenance forms, equipment accounts, CAMS / IMDS, and flight line procedures.
  • Ability to interact productively with other field engineers and customers in a diverse team setting.
  • Ability working independently to develop timely and effective solutions to technical problems of various scope and complexity.

Special Work Circumstances

Ability to work in a military flight line environment and extreme weather conditions.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
