Overview

Based in Hong Kong, the Director, Sales, Hong Kong and International is responsible for the formulation and execution of sales strategy, product development, and account optimization for all Hong Kong Disneyland (“HKDL”) sales channels in Hong Kong and International Market (including Southeast and Northeast Asia).  Reporting directly to Vice President, Sales, the incumbent will lead an elite team in contributing to the business growth from all distribution partners in Hong Kong and International markets, which is a significant revenue driver from HKDL’s attendance and hotel room night production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and formulate key sales strategies and business initiatives across all vacation and leisure channels for Hong Kong and International markets.  Coach and motivate managers and their teams to implement sales strategies to consistently achieve or exceed annual attendance and revenue targets of admission and hotel room nights, as well as business solution and events.

  • Formulate e-commerce digitalization transformation strategy in maximizing e-commerce sales capability.  Increase business opportunities with e-commerce / e-platform players and drive contribution of e-commerce to overall sales performance.

  • Ensure fiscal management accountability for the team’s overall expenditure budget, especially the co-op budget that the team invest with contracted distribution partners in tactical channel promotions for driving business.

  • Build and maintain business relationship with key leaders in travel and tourism industry.  Keep abreast of relevant consumer and industry trends, identify and formulate new strategic moves in response to the new trends.

  • Build close working relationship with executive leaders in various commercial and operations teams (such as Marketing, Revenue Management and Analytics, Operations etc.) to formulate and align go-to-market strategies, ensure product strategies and promotional tactics are mutually beneficial to both HKDL and clients, and resolve all high level operational issues related to pre-arrival admission and room night sales.

  • Coach, train and develop sales talents and improve their sales competency, identify future sales leaders, build team collaboration and can-do spirit.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Senior sales / business development / commercial executives with a thorough understanding of the travel / tourism / hospitality industry across Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, and Northeast Asia markets.

  • Expertise in sales for travel e-commerce landscape with strong digital background is a must.  Excellent understanding of digital and mobile trend from sales and distribution standpoint.

  • Strategic and well-planned leader with strong business acumen; organized and logical executive who possesses strong number sense with great skills to achieve sales target

  • Authentic, persuasive and inclusive leader who has track record of leading a diverse and remote team.  Exposure in developing a highly skilled, collaborative and influential team.  Possesses unquestioned ethics and integrity.

  • Skillful and impactful communicator (verbal and written) with ability to deliver presentations to senior executives with poise and confidence.  Fluency in English is a must, Mandarin and / or Cantonese will be a strong plus.

  • Facilitate an inclusive culture that fosters diversity, exhibits integrity, collaboration, empowerment and trust; exposure working in cross-cultural environment, multinational companies and / or highly-matrixed organizations is preferred.

  • Be able and willing to travel frequently between Hong Kong and the other international markets.
